The first weekend in October we headed to Hays America to celebrate Homecoming at FHSU. We drove around campus--very impressed with the new Agnew Hall, ate lunch with my parents at Taco Shop in honor of Dad's birthday, and for the 2nd year in a row went to a very cold, rainy homecoming parade---it was still fun--my kids ate it up, enjoyed the music and floats, and of course got tons of candy and goodies! Layne and I went for hot chocolate on the drive home instead of our usual snowball!
The next day after church, we grabbed some burgers and headed to Sunnyside Pumpkin Patch with some of our church friends. It was windy and chilly, but the sun was out and we still had a blast--one of the few years I remember going and having to wear a coat!
The kids were all smiles when we got there!
Brynn and some of our friends checking out the pumpkins!
Always a favorite--the big white slides!
Caden and his friend Tate--his parents own Sunnyside Pumpkin Patch and Tate and Caden are in the same kindergarten class and are good friends--we did not see much of Caden as he and Tate explored the place on their own!
One more time down the slides--please Mommy!
The girls and their dads on the play equipment.
The corn box is always a favorite for all of our kids!
More girl and dad time!
Open your eyes Daddy and say cheese! Layne is not quite sure how he is going to handle two little girls!
Saying hello to the horses!
Please take my picture mom--OK!
Taking a little rest on the tire swing.
Off to hunt for the perfect pumpkin!
Caden kept with his white pumpkin tradition and Brynn went for the princess tan pumpkin.
Mommy is a princess fan as well!
Tough girl pulling the full wagon!
Beautiful flowers!
Every year, just a little bit bigger!
Our family, October 2012
I saw another family do this picture with their kids and copied them--it was a little out of focus, but one of my favorite fall photos of our little pumpkins!
We love, love, love Sunnyside Pumpkin Patch--what a busy, fun weekend!
