Kansas City-Spring Break-Science City

Sunday afternoon, Layne and I took the kids to Science City at Union Station. It was fun--although we were all getting a little tired by then. Some of the activities were more for older kids, but our two still found plenty to do.

Caden greeting the sign at the entrance to Science City.

Experimenting with music was the first station that you walked into and one of Caden and Brynn's favorite spot--we came back to this activity many times that afternoon--here they are playing the floor piano.

Caden's favorite--the trash drums!

Exploring the inside playground.

Driving the vehicle

Exploring trains and other forms of transportation--Brynn is pretty fond of trains too!

Trying out some putt-putt golf!

Digging for dino bones.

The other favorite spot that we had to drag Caden and Brynn away from--the water table!

Checking out the helicopter.

Making clouds with Daddy!

After Science City, we went to the planetarium for an Elmo and Big Bird show about stars--it was only 25 minutes and just perfect for my almost 2 year old! They loved it!
We finished out the day with exploring the model trains one last time at Union Station, eating at Famous Dave's that night, and Caden and Daddy had one more round of swimming!

Monday morning--we ate a yummy breakfast at the hotel, loaded up the mini van, and mom and I went to the Legend's to shop for a bit while Dad and Layne entertained the kids at a nearby park. We arrived home to a beautiful, hot, windy day in Salina, and enjoyed the rest of the day playing outside--a great way to end our trip!

Caden and Cow enjoying some cartoons before we left the hotel.

Miss Brynn--showing off her pig tails and her yogurt face Monday morning!
KC was the perfect get away--we all enjoyed it!
