Our little girl is officially a year old! We had her year check-up on Monday and she is healthy and growing. Brynn was a trooper and had shots and blood drawn for this check-up, so thank goodness for daddy--mommy can handle shots now, but holding her down to get blood drawn is not for me! Our Dr. recommends it to be done, so it is done and over with now and we can enjoy all the joy and fun she has brought to our lives!
Height=29 inches long, 50th percentile
Weight=20 lbs, 7 oz, 40th percentile
Teeth--she now has 6 teeth--4 on top and 2 on bottom
Brynn is eating all people food and has been for about 2 months now. She is just like her brother and loves anything with noodles, but also enjoys grilled cheese, pizza, pancakes, and green beans. Also like her brother, she is not too into fruit--Caden eats apples and applesauce and right now, Brynn will eat applesauce and some fruit yogurt--what weird kiddos! I keep trying different types of fruit with her and she spits it right back out, so we will see!
Just in the last week, Brynn has started letting go of items and taking steps by herself--I think we are up to about 6 steps, so getting closer, but still prefers crawling. Brynn goes to sleep around 8:00 and sleeps til about 6:30ish. We are still doing one night bottle, but the rest of the day she is using a sippy cup--she also transitioned to whole milk great!
Brynn's favorite words are still da-da and daddy--she will say ma-ma, but daddy is differently the pick of the day. She also says Kee--for kitty, and Ut-Ohh--is another favorite especially when it involves dropping her sippy cup or other toys on the floor. Brynn is also a pro at clapping and letting us know when she is done eating! She does her best to stay right up with her big brother and loves to do whatever he is doing--most the time he handles that ok. She loves swinging in her swing outside and we go for stroller rides almost every night--she pulls herself right to the front of the stroller and takes in all of the sights!
Most days she is a happy and loveable little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Birthday Parties--present time!
Cake time is over, so on to the presents! Both kids got spoiled rotten--I think Brynn enjoyed present time even more than Caden did! Caden likes to open about 3-4 presents and then he wants to play with his new toys and be done! We had to do some sweet talking to get him to finish, but he finally did and then was turned loose to play. Thank you everyone for loving and spoiling our kids--we have enjoyed exploring all the new items this week and Caden has had fun taking a few new toys to Valerie's this week to show-off.
Conner was so nice to push Brynn around and around--on Greyson's new ride toy!
The following pictures are the adult celebration that the party was over--Aunt Clarice decided a balloon popping race was in need--she had not done a race like this since 3rd grade--she was pretty excited and the rest of us also got into the spirit! Clarice--you were so fast and good that I missed your pictures, but hope you enjoy the fun and expressions on the ones I did capture! Maybe we can have balloon races at the next Parry Party!

And Aunt Kristi finished it off--enough said!
We are so blessed to have two beautiful, healthy, happy--and yes ornery children in our lives! Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us--or was there in spirit--you made many lasting memories for our kids--and their parents. We had a wonderful time!
A special thank you to the grandma's--for making and bringing some yummy food--and also to Aunt Kristi--for spending many days with us--helping to entertain kids, blow up balloons, and taking Caden to his very first circus! I don't have any pictures, but Caden and Kristi took in the Isis Shrine Circus Saturday morning and had a great time--Caden loved seeing the animals and he also talked Kristi into buying him a sword that lit up green--what more could a boy want!

Birthday Parties--cake time!
"B" is for birthdays and was it ever the party on Saturday! Brynn, Caden, Conner, and Greyson--all cousins--had one big bash on Saturday. From balloons, to 4 cakes, to toys from one end of the church to the other, to lots of friends and family--a fun time was had by all. And as Mindy reminded me, as mom and I were looking at the toys, kids, and balloons scattered all over the church--it was not my house getting crazy and messy! We decided to host the event at our church fellowship hall--plenty of room, playground outside, and it is free. Let the fun begin! A big thank you to Aunt Mindy for taking many pictures for me--you do an amazing job of capturing every moment--which is why my blog will be two parts! Enjoy part 1---cake time!
Our son eating jelly beans--again--jelly beans and cupcakes were his supper that night--and no he did not get sick--I guess you only turn 3 once!
A little bit messy--but she was a lot like Caden, at one, and was not too interested in eating it--oh well!

Brynn in her pretty skirt and her famous crawl--bum in the air!
